Bossier Schools is on winter weather watch for the next two days, closely monitoring the forecast with the Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and staying in close contact with the National Weather Service. We are meeting again today and will provide an update at 3 p.m. this afternoon regarding any adjustments to Thursday’s school schedule.
If you do not already have the Bossier Schools district app, this is a great time to download it so you will get the latest updates. Here’s how to find it:
1. Search ‘Bossier Schools’ in your phone’s app store and download the app.
2. Select ‘Personalize Notifications’ when prompted on initial download to ensure you receive notifications.
3. Then, select ‘Bossier Parish Schools.’

Wednesday, January 8
Good afternoon! After a briefing today with the National Weather Service and Bossier Parish emergency agencies, Bossier Schools will be open Thursday, January 9. However, the YEP program will be canceled and all extracurricular and after-school activities will be postponed until a later time.
We will continue to carefully monitor the forecast and provide an update at 4 p.m. Thursday regarding school operations on Friday.
